Is your home "Puppy Proof" ? Bringing the new puppy home is exciting... but keeping him safe is too ! Your pup will be naturally inquisitive about his new home... probably can't wait to investigate ( maybe even chew or taste) everything within his reach. This can be dangerous ! That's why it is imperative to "puppy-proof" your home and yard - ideally before bringing him home - by making sure all potential poisons and dangers are out of his reach. A few things to inspect your house and yard for are : * Electrical Cords - Tuck them so your pup cannot get to them AND Keep a close watchful eye if he has the urge to chew them. Shock can obviously kill him. * Medicines - Make sure all medicines are stored way above his reach - never leave them stored low within his reach * Poisons and Cleaners - Make sure all cleaners, polishes, insecticide, rodent poisons, ant poison, etc have been left "puppy level" ! A new puppy is just like an inquisitive toddler so you have to keep a watchful eye!!!!
